Birth Chart used in astrology, also known as natal chart or astrology chart, is a chart that graphically displays the positions of planets and the astrological houses at the time, date, and place of your birth and the influence they will bring on your life. Though a horoscope also claims to describe the same things, there is still a little difference between birth charts and horoscopes.

While a horoscope may present an individual with a broad outline description of the position of their planets and astrological houses; however, the birth chart creates an analysis of the various elements of an individual’s nature and forecasts their future with the help of scores of graphs, drawings and charts.

Both the horoscope and natal charts use planets to predict an individual’s nature. However, planets in astrology have different meanings from the modern astronomical meaning of a planet.

For ancient astrologers, the will of the gods and their direct influence upon human affairs is represented by the planets while modern astrologers believe that the planets signify the basic drives or impulses in the human mind. Different qualities are expressed by these drives and seen through the twelve signs of the zodiac, and in different areas of life through the twelve houses. Furthermore, the exact way the planets manifest themselves also depends on the aspects or angles that they form with each other in the sky as seen from Earth.

Every birth charts have four primary angles however the ascendant and the descendants are more significant.

The ascendant or rising sign, is the sign rising over the horizon in the east at the time of an individual’s birth. It is commonly considered the most important and personalized angle or sign in a natal chart by the vast majority of astrologers. It represents an individual’s awakening consciousness, similar to the Sun’s appearance on the eastern horizon symbolizing the dawn of a new day. It influences an individual’s outer personality, temperament and physical attributes, notably their appearance, carriage and general outlook. It embodies an individual’s self-image and to a considerable extent, how others see you. The sign and condition of the ascendant also influences an individual’s strength, vitality, health issues and the types of illnesses they may experience though its influence is powerful. However, it may be modified by any planets rising and the condition of the ruling planet.

The descendant is the opposite point to the ascendant. It signifies how a person reacts in their relationships with others. It also represents the part of your consciousness that an individual is likely most comfortably project onto ones partner. It also shows the kind of person to whom an individual is likely to be attracted to and the individual’s ability to form romantic attachments like love and sexual relationship.

With these knowledge, we then learn that the ascending and descending signs of the planets greatly influence the personally of an individual and how they react and to whom they will have a romantic relationship with. Though these planetary signs influence one’s natal chart or birth chart it is still up to the individual on how these natal chart findings be taken or seen as to influence the individual’s action in life. One should put in mind, that each and every one of us has our own free will which gives us the freedom to choose and decide on what is the proper course of our lives. Just use these free birth charts and free horoscopes as guidance and as an advice to your choices in life.
