Recent news announced by Reuters that the latest poll by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life showed a huge percentage of U.S. adults declare to have had supernatural and divination experiences such as ghost sightings or hold a strong beliefs in astrology, reincarnations and birth chart that are associated with the New Age movement or Eastern religions.
According to Pew researcher Alan Cooperman most of the people who have different views and fate with their own religion yet there is quite overlapping among their beliefs and practices especially when it comes to divination. And some of them assert commitment to more conventional faiths such as Catholicism or evangelical Protestantism.
The poll that has been released last week stated that nearly 25 percent said they believed in reincarnation and 23 percent said yoga was a spiritual practice. While the twenty six percent said they believed “spiritual energy” could be found in objects such as trees. Also three out of ten people believed in ghost and almost 18 percent have strong claimed that they actually saw a ghost. While 16 percent of U.S. adults think that an “evil eye” is actually real or that some people can throw curses or spells on others.
